Price

The average CIF price of fillets –basa and panga- imported in April was USD 4,158/t, up 5% on that of March and up 32% on that of April 2017. In the first four months, the average was USD 3,947/t, up 28% on that of the same period last year.

Market

In April, incoming volumes of frozen fillets of basa and panga reported 6,026 tonnes, worth USD 25,055,000 CIF, down 1% in volume and up 4% in value on those imported in the previous month and down 22% in volume and up 3% in value to those imported in April 2017.

In the first three months of the year, they totalled 24,678 tonnes, worth USD 97,393,000, down 23% in volume and 2% in value on those of the same four months in 2017.
