Prices
In May the average price of imported fresh fillets at Customs was similar to that of the previous month and up 11% on that of May 2017. The price of frozen products was USD 4,120/kg, down 7% on that of April and up 4% on that of May 2017.

Markets
In May, imports of fresh fillets reached 1,849 tonnes and USD 14,478,000, up 3% in volume and value on those of the previous month and down 19% in volume and 10% in value on those of May 2017. In the five months, they totalled 9,544 tonnes and USD 74,433,000, down 16% in volume and 10% in value on those of 2017.

Imports of frozen fillets reached 6,336 tonnes and CIF USD 26,104,000. These figures are up 60% in volume and 49% in value on those of the previous month and down 28% in volume and 25% in value on those of May 2017. During the period, exports totalled 42,030 tonnes and USD 168,720,000, down 14% in volume and 13% in value on those of the previous year.

During the period, imports of other products (whole, H&G and gutted, HS 0303890040 and HS 0303230000) totalled 15,231 tonnes, worth USD 29,552,000 CIF at Customs.
