In April the average price of imported fresh fillets at Customs was up 1% on that of the previous month and 6% on that of April 2017. The price of frozen products was USD 4,428/kg, up 8% on that of March and down 9% on that of April 2017.

Markets
In April, imports of fresh fillets reached 1,797 tonnes and USD 14,089,000, down 12% in volume and 11% in value on those of the previous month and down 20% and 14% respectively on those of April 2017. In the four months, they totalled 7,695 tonnes and USD 59,955,000, down 16% in volume and down 10% in value on those of the same period in 2017.

Imports of frozen fillets reached 3,955 tonnes, worth USD 17,511,000 CIF at Customs. These figures are down 51% in volume and 47% in value on those of previous month and up 48% in volume and 43% in value on those of April 2017. During the four months, exports totalled 38,694 tonnes worth USD 142,616,000, down 10% in volume and 11% in value on those of the same period in 2017.

During the four months, imports of other products (whole, H&G and gutted, HS 0303890040 and HS 0303230000) totalled 12,597 tonnes, worth USD 24,208,000 CIF at Customs
