Surimi itoyori
Price
The average CIF price of itoyori surimi was JPY 338/kg at Japanese Customs in December, similar on that of the previous month and up 1% on that of December 2017. In 2018 it averaged JPY 336 / kg, up 2% than in 2017.

Markets
Japanese imports of itoyori surimi in the month analysed reached 2,203 tonnes, worth about JPY 745 million CIF, up 18% in volume and 19% in value on those of November and down 5% in volume and in value on those of December 2017.

In 2018 imports reached 20,365 tonnes and JPY 6,833 million, down 3% in volume and similar value in relation to 2017.

India was the main supplier of itoyori surimi during the period. Sales amounted to 7,241 tonnes worth about JPY 2,647 million CIF. India supplied 6,254 tonnes.
