Tasmania Renews Tassal’s License, but Tightens Environmental Controls on Cooke

ridad de Protección Ambiental de Tasmania otorga una prórroga a Tassal Operations hasta 2027, aunque establece restricciones más estrictas a la filial del grupo canadiense Cooke Inc. La Autoridad de Protección Ambiental de Tasmania (EPA) renovó el 3 de agosto la licencia de Tassal Operations para cultivar salmón en Long Bay–Port Arthur, en la península de Tasman. La autorización permite continuar la actividad hasta el 30 de noviembre de 2027, pero incorpora nuevas obligaciones sobre mortalidades, calidad del agua, hábitats, capacidad de carga y monitoreo científico.
