Fish consumption in Ukraine has grown to a record in 2020

According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, 411,000 tonnes of fish and shellfish were imported in 2020 for an impressive $ 804 million, almost 60 million more than a year earlier.
Thus, the average consumption per person per year was close to 15 kg.

TOP-5 countries of exporters of fishery products to Ukraine (in tonnage):
1. Norway: 18.6% or 77,000 tonnes.
2. Iceland: 13.6% or 56,000 tonnes.
3. United States: 8.6% or 35,000 tons.
4. Estonia: 8.1% or 33,000 tonnes.
5. Canada: 5.4% or 22,000 tons.
