Norway Royal Salmon (Public- OSE:NRS) is a fully integrated fish farming company. Its dedicated sales organisation offers salmon and trout to the world market from the company’s own farms and from its extensive partnership network. NRS is involved in all stages of the process, from smolt production, fish production, harvesting, sales and marketing.
NRS represents totally 33 salmon producing companies, holding 81 salmon production licenses, 6 smolt producers and 1 land-based arctic char license. NRS is the majority shareholder in 5 fish farming companies holding a total of 22 fish licenses, and has minority stakes in 6 fish farming companies with a total of 19 fish licenses.
1992: NRS was founded by 24 fish farming companies as a sales and marketing company for farmed salmon.
1996: NRS took control of Reinhartsen Seafood AS with 90.1%. The company changed name to NRS Sales AS, and at the same time Salmon Invest AS was established.
2003: Merger of Norway Royal Salmon AS – Norway Royal Salmon Sales AS and Salmon Invest AS.
2006: Capital increase of NOK 50 million undertaken, assisted by Pareto Private Equity AS.
2007: 100% takeover of Feøy Fiskeoppdrett AS and Åmøy Fiskeoppdrett AS, together with 82.5% stake in Nor Seafood AS.
2008: Capital increase of NOK 100 million undertaken, assisted by Pareto Private Equity AS.
2008: 100% takeover of Altafjord Laks AS and 76,5% stake in AS Tri and Salmo Arctica AS.
2009: 100% takeover of AS Brilliant Fiskeoppdrett.
2011-The company became publicly listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange
2016 - Norway Royal Salmon (NRS) announcement at Oslo Stock Exchange, the company pays 29 million euros for a 50% stake in Arctic Fish.
