Kasetsart University (KU) is the first agricultural university in Thailand, established on February 2, 1943. Kasetsart University is located at 50 Phahonyothin Road, Lat Yao Subdistrict, Jatujak District, Bangkok 10900. KU is known internationally for academic excellence and high standard of work. It is a prime mover in mustering intellectual resources to help the nation achieve sustainable development and negotiating power in the world community. KU gathers wisdom and knowledge, creates and develops varied bodies of knowledge, and forms people who are intelligent, think rationally, behave morally, are conscious of the common good, and produce a high standard of work capable of competing in the world market. The University manages its resources efficiently, joins in the development of the community, and is responsible to society so as to serve as an important instrument in ensuring the well being and security of the country. KU devotes itself to the task of accumulating and developing intellectual knowledge.
At present, KU has 14 faculties and 1 college offering undergraduate and graduate programs (including international programs) in a wide range of areas: Agriculture, Agro-Industry, Architecture, Business Administration, Economics, Education, Engineering, Environment, Fisheries, Forestry, Humanities, Science, Social Science, Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Technology. KU has established 7 campuses in various regions of Thailand and has a current enrollment of 35,000 students at all levels.
