Seafood processors from the whole world are invited to participate at the fifth edition of Marel’s Whitefish ShowHow
The Future of Whitefish Processing: Copenhagen, 25 September
(DENMARK, 6/18/2019)
When Marel hosts the Whitefish ShowHow in Copenhagen, 25 September, it will showcase the latest in hi-tech processing solutions. By bringing industry leaders together under the same roof with equipment and software specialists, the event is also expected to generate the conversations and innovations that will continue to shape the future of whitefish processing in coming years.
Demonstrations will run all day, showing visitors how Marel equipment and software ensure processors can make the most of Industry 4.0 to better utilize the raw material, to reduce processing time and to increase traceability. In addition to the live demonstrations, visitors will be invited to experience cutting-edge innovation and technology via virtual reality.
The event will bring together whitefish industry leaders from all over the world to discover the latest processing technology and hear guest speakers address some of the key issues the industry faces.
Data is increasingly valuable in today’s hi-tech processing environment and Marel’s software platform – Innova Food Processing Software – will feature prominently at the event. Data is key to gaining full production control and visitors to the Whitefish ShowHow will be able to see data being generated by the machines in real time, and gain insights into how fish processors can become more competitive by improving their ability to track and analyze data.
At this unique event, Marel will demonstrate how its equipment and software solutions help optimize raw material utilization, reduce processing times and labor costs, and improve processes throughout the value chain.
The nature and scale of the demonstrations at the Whitefish ShowHow is impressive, and always includes some new concepts that haven’t yet been released. But in the five years since the event was first held, it has become much more than a program of demonstrations.
The guest speaker presentations, Marel seminars and the networking among attendees add up to a meeting of minds with the power to change the direction of the fish processing industry.
For more than 40 years, Marel has been helping fish processors around the world better utilize raw materials, while also reducing processing time and increasing automation and food safety.
With the advent of Industry 4.0, this type of full collaboration has become more important than ever, as factories take big leaps in automation and rethink every step of the processing value chain
As Sigurdur Ólason, Managing Director Marel Fish, explains: “The ShowHow strongly reflects what we aim to achieve every year—and every day really—working with our customers in the industry to find better and smarter ways to process fish.”
Marel’s Whitefish ShowHow is taking place at Marel’s Demonstration and Training center off Copenhagen airport in Denmark, on September 25, 2019.
