54°North Omega-3 With Vitamin D3 Expands Distribution Across the US Market

  (UNITED STATES, 8/5/2014)

American Marine Ingredients, a division of American Seafoods Group, is launching its omega-3 supplement in retail and online outlets across the United States.

54°North Omega-3 with Vitamin D3 is made from fresh Alaska Pollock caught in the icy cold waters of Alaska’s Bering Sea. The 100% American-made supplement, which comes direct from the fisherman, contains 1000mg of vital omega-3 nutrients DHA and EPA in each capsule, along with vitamin D3 for a complete supplement. The highly concentrated softgels are made with a fully traceable and efficient process from ocean to bottle.

“We harvest the fish ourselves. And we process that fish within just a few hours of the time when we bring it on the boat,” said Richard Draves, Vice President of Product Development of American Marine Ingredients. “So it’s a uniquely fresh, raw material that we use.”

The Bering Sea Alaska pollock fishery has also been certified as responsibly managed by Global Trust under a program established by Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute.

The U.S. Alaska pollock fishery is one of the best, and most sustainably- managed fisheries in the world, a fact independently verified as sustainable by both the MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) and the Global Trust. The International Fish Oil Standards Program has also awarded 54°North a five star rating for the strength, purity, and quality of the product. By controlling every step of the manufacturing process, the supplement features an 85% omega-3 concentrate and none of the fishy taste often associated with omega-3 products.

AMI offers ultra-pure and highly concentrated supplement from Alaska’s Bering Sea.

“54° North Omega-3 with Vitamin D3 is one of the highest quality supplements on the market today,” said Louis Lubitz, Sales and Marketing Manager for AMI. “We are very proud of the freshness, purity, and high concentration (1000mg of EPA and DHA per capsule) of our American made product.”

Numerous studies have shown that omega-3s can help promote a healthy heart, treat postpartum depression, and have even been used to help those who have suffered traumatic brain injuries.

“People need to have omega-3s in their bloodstream,” said Draves. “There’s been so much study of omega-3s at this point in time and it’s impossible to refute them.”

In distributing its products across the U.S. market, American Marine Ingredients is working with Florida-based Nutritional Products International (NPI). NPI is a national leader in providing sales, marketing and brand management solutions for global brands, giving them a fast track to the world’s most profitable retail market.

“AMI is very pleased to partner with NPI,” said John Cummings, President of American Marine Ingredients. “Our triple strength 54°North brand of wild Alaskan Pollock oil is a great fit with NPI’s broad network of customers who are focused on health, nutrition and wellness.”
