(ARGENTINA, 5/11/2023)
SENASA reported this from Circular 4,370, which annulled all the requirements and protocols related to preventing cases of this disease, such as disinfection and testing of personnel involved in the handling and loading of shipments.

A relief measure arrived in the last hours for all refrigerators and fishing vessels authorized to export to China. The Asian country decided to lift the preventive health protocols to prevent Covid-19 that it had established during the pandemic, during which time it was even increasing them and making the production process much more complex with a view to exporting to China.

Through Circular 4,370 issued by the Presidency of the National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service, they annulled Circular 4,366 that contained the requirements for prevention and control within meat and fishery product establishments authorized to export to China.
Among these requirements was the need to carry out periodic tests on personnel, remote inspections and audits on the operation of the establishment and special care when packing and labeling the load.
In a note from Martha Vélez, president of the health service, addressed to Coordinators, Supervisors and Heads of Service, information sent by the Agricultural Department in Beijing was disclosed, which reported that Division No. 1 and Division No. 4 of Food Safety General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) "it is no longer necessary to maintain additional protocols".

In this sense, they confirmed that the GACC offices at the points of entry into the country were instructed to no longer request the disinfection documents and testing of personnel/packaging/containers, for which reason SENASA now proceeded to repeal the Circular that required it.
Currently the payroll reaches 96 authorized establishments. The list dropped considerably in recent times precisely for this reason. Not only the obligation to periodically test staff, but until last year there were repeated cases of reports of traces of covid in cargo sent to China.
Exports of the main fishery products to China during the first quarter already showed some relaxation in sanitary controls and mark a recovery in the volume traded compared to the same period last year.
Whole shrimp grew by 628% and reached 1,488 tons to rank as the second destination country for this product. The purchase of shrimp tails also grew, in this case 269%, and to a lesser extent squid with 42%.
